Xina AI Obtains $1,000,000 in Seed Investment to Go Regional

Xina AI is on its way to bring the latest Arabic Conversational AI technologies to many more businesses across the MENA region. With a very successful seed funding round, Xina secured one million US dollars to fulfill its technology roadmap and expand to more geographies. 


With an effort to automate customer support queries, resolve business communication challenges, and streamline the use of Arabic in business settings, this investment comes at the right time in order to support Xina’s expansion across the region and further strengthens its intellectual property development.


Xina had a very successful pilot in Jordan, but the goal is to also expand into the Saudi, UAE and Qatari market through investors’ support as well as strategic alliances and partnerships in effort to boost the use of AI systems for more Arabic-speaking businesses. 


On the technology side, Xina aims to improve the algorithm’s accuracy and to increase the Arabic dialects it supports, with a particular focus on Levantine, Egyptian, and GCC dialects. Ultimately, Xina will serve as a foundational API for the Arabic developers’ community to enable them to develop their own use cases and truly unleash the power of AI for Arabic speakers.


Commenting on this significant milestone, Sari Hweitat, CEO and founder of Xina, confirms that “AI-based spending in the region will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 19%”. He further noted that “this investment will place Xina on the map of Arabic conversational AI.” 


The technology and leadership team at Xina have a vision of spearheading the development of conversational Arabic using AI, which will help solve subtle but cumbersome variances in accents and dialects from one speaker to the next.
